HELP!!! Yesterday, I pulled the carpet up in my sunroom. I found that the cement beneath is crossed with two sleepers. They are damaged as the result of moisture. I went outside to determine origin of moisture and found that the sleepers actually run outside. This room was added on top of an original slap area that was used as a patio and no one explained that the sleepers needed to be addressed prior to building a room on top of it. Now I am at a loss. What are my options for filling in the sleepers once they are removed; especially since they run outside. Can This area be filed in with cement, a special sealant/epoxy or do I have to use pressure treated wood? I really want to seal this up; separate the outside area from the interior. HELP!!
