Replacing facia with PVC trim boards

I want to replace the existing fascia with PVC. The current fascia is nailed to the rafter tails and the span between rafters is 20-22"(hip roof). There is no sub-fascia installed. Is PVC a good option given the span?

I would install a sub fascia. Install between the rafter tails.

Thx, I was thinking that as well. I know PVC has it's limitations. I may just scrape and sand the existing wood fascia. It's not in bad structural condition just ugly in its current state.
Why not just wrap it in coil stock?
Far less expensive and easier to install.

Interesting idea! How does it get formed? Do I need to rent a brake?
That's the only right way to bend it.
Got a picture of the house?
If your going to go with wrapping then now would be the time to also cover the soffit with vinyl soffit before it gets wrapped to get rid of one more future painting issue.
