A few days ago the hot water splitter in my wash machine outlet box gave up the ghost and started spewing. I ended up ripping open the drywall to dry it out and discovered that it must have been leaking a long while before it completely gave up, as you can see by all the deposits on the lines.

Since the screw valves wouldn't shut off all the way I cut them off and capped the lines in the meantime. Water is back on, and nothing in here appears to be leaking, but should I replace all this copper anyway? Part of me wants it to look nice and fresh but it'll be out of sight behind drywall in a week again anyway.

Edit: sorry for the stupid sideways picture, it was right when I submitted

I had to replace my laundry connection box a few years ago so I opened the wall. At that time I changed the pipe in the wall down into the cellar with PEX and put ball valves in the cellar at the point of connection. Last year I put in a water softener and replaced the rest of my pipe with PEX so the piece in the wall was already done.
The reason I changed the pipe is because I installed the old copper in 1981 when lead solder was still in use. Soft water can cause lead to leach, so all my piping got changed. It is in the cellar so it was easy. I had remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms so they had PEX to the cellar. If the wall is open, I would change it.
