My old bathroom heater/light/vent burned out so I took it down and bought a replacement. I'm all set to install when I realize that this unit requires attic access to secure to the joists. The problem is that I don't have attic access there. So I'm trying to find a solution or a unit that installs completely from underneath, without getting into the attic space above. Any suggestions would be fantastic

Open up the ceiling to expose the joists. Attach the fan. Patch the sheetrock.

What burned out?
Should have been able to be repaired from below the ceiling.
