Hi folks,

We had some really strong winds here in Northern Virginia last night, and the door to my screened-in porch blew off its hinges. Miraculously the door is fine, but as you can see from the pics below the wood splintered on the column where the hinges were mounted.

Upper hinge:

Lower hinge:

How should I repair this so that I can reinstall the door on the same spot? I was thinking of using some wood filler but I'm thinking it may not be strong enough to drill into it again. Should I use wood epoxy resin? (such as this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Abatron-WoodE..._UL160_SR160,160_&refRID=1ATG4VVNXX45K5GA4G10) Can wood epoxy be drilled on with 2" wood screws?

I should also mention that I don't have any rot in that wood, so not sure if the wood epoxy is overkill.

Thank you in advance!
