Hello everyone, I have an old deck which is currently painted an ugly blue color. I want to repaint it with a wood stain finish. I did research about this, and basically know that I will need to strip or sand the paint, and then repaint. I would, however, like to get some more detail about the different steps, because I am a beginner when it comes to these types of projects. My first question is which method is better: sanding the paint away with a sander, or use chemicals to strip it away? I am also concerned about how I will be able to get the paint in between the planks. Will I have to remove them? If so, how do I remove them? As you can see I dont know anything about such a project, so any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
