How would I go about removing cemented in galvanized clothes line posts? We first tried to pull them out with the truck, but only ended up bending it. Then we tired to dig them up, but who ever put them in loved cement because it goes out over 2 feet! :wallbash: So what's my next step? Saw it off? If so, what kind of saw? Or sledge hammer and hope it breaks the cement apart?

you can clamp a chain around it a use a bottle jack or long heavy pipe for leverage and pull them. No easy any way you go.

If you don't mind the cement footing left in the ground . then rent a saw zaw with some bi-metal 12 blades. I like lenox I think they hold up better.and start cutting at the base.
or if you want the footing removed then rent a electric Heavy Duty demo hammer . you could dig around it and then use a sledgehammer to break it out, you said it was more then 2ft. [email protected]#$ . at my age I'm starting to look outside the box. Demo-Hammer good luck BOB

Amen to sawsall and the lenox blades...

if not available... two of your biggest best buddys ...2 cases of beer

and a sledge hammer to beat down any pipe that is left.

You all put $10 in the pot... draw straws for 1,2,3, 3 minute turns

the guy that snaps it off takes the pot.
have fun

PS don't do this during the hot part of the day.
