I am planning out a front yard paver walkway install that will meet up with the concrete walkway on my side yard. There is a 2x2 piece of that concrete walkway that juts out into the space where I want to install the paver walkway so I need to remove it.

What options do I have for such a small piece?

I see Circular saw with Diamond blade but that is slow and only takes you down so far.

I see cold chisel to get a scored line than use sledgehammer.

Any other options that are inexpensive for a one time issue?

Thanks

I have been cutting up the concrete in my basement to add and replace waist lines.

I don't like a wet gas concrete saw. Yes I won one.

I like the cheap circular saw and a concrete blade. You only need a deep score so it has a place to snap when hit by a sledge hammer.
Anywhere there is a hollow spot under the concrete it will snap with a good sledge hammer blow.

But 4 sq' of 4 to 6" would take 30 to 45 minutes of work to get it into lift able size chunks with a sledge, shovel, and a pic axe or digging bar. If you need a finished edge then it would add some time and tools.

Stop in at a building site where masonry contractors are working. One of them might be willing to stop on his way home and saw it for you, if you offer cash. I loved that stuff when I was in the trades.
