I am a starter in the home improvement scheme and i recentley started a new project in my bathroom. And i am having an issue with removing some of the paint. There was a wallpaper border at the top of the walls and i removed it with fabric softner and hot water which worked well. The paint that was underneath peeled off wonderfully, but all of the other paint isnt coming off at all. im not to sure what the problem is and i know this post isnt very clear but what could make it easier to take off the paint that is being stubburn and wont come off. I would really like not to spend hours and hours scrapping bits and pieces at a time off. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Normally you wouldn't remove paint from walls. You'd just paint over the existing paint with new paint. Unless I'm missing something (e.g. the existing paint is peeling badly), I would recommend you take this approach.

Now, there's a few more steps involved. What are the walls made of? Drywall? Plaster? Are they in decent condition? You'd need to make any necessary repairs before you repaint -- patch any holes, any damage resulting from removed wallpaper, deal with any mold spots, etc. Generally get the walls smooth and clean. Then apply a good quality primer. Then paint, two coats.

Speak to someone at the paint store about what kind of primer and paint to use. Many recommend special kinds for bathrooms. What kind of primer you use would also depend on what kind of paint is currently on the walls. The paint store people can tell you about that, too.
