Hello,
We pulled down old cement mesh wall and the tile from the 50's yesterday.
Got most of it down however we still have some stuck to the studs and intermingling with the regular wall.
The slats that they seem to have glued to the studs to hold the concrete mesh is so stuck to the studs we can even get a pry bar behind it to pull it off the studs.
I posted a picture of what is left from the demo and how it is between regular wall and shower area.
any suggestions of how to get this stuff off would be most appreciated.

Picture attached.

Cheap chisel. It's still sharp enough to dig into the cement without damaging anything else. Don't chisel over an empty space. Grinder and diamond dry blade, but costly for just one time use.
You also can leave it there. Put a straight edge on the drywall and see if old cement bumps out. If below, clean up the edge, stud and continue with sheathing then join them with thinset. Redguard then tile.
