Hi
I have had a fridge sitting in a garage for a a year and a half that is in great shape. I am about to hook it up and have thoroughly cleaned out the inside. However, I am worried about installing the water lines because I am afraid they might have mold growth inside them from sitting through 6 seasons or so, but they look clean on the outside and I can't see on the inside.
Should I remove and replace all of them or am I being paranoid?
If I am not, how do I remove the lines that are attached to the fridge and find replacements? As I look at the back of the fridge, there are 3 small-diameter plastic hoses coming out of the top of the back of the fridge, two on the left and 1 on the right. They seem like proprietary stiff-plastic hoses that com out of the back of the fridge, unlike the flexible ones that came with my fridge waterline kit. And they also appear to connect inside the fridge somewhere. Is it required that I remove the back of the fridge to remove these lines?
Is it possible to simply clean these lines?
Thanks!
