Hey guys,

A few years ago my wife decided she wanted to paint over the laminate kitchen countertop. I reluctantly agreed. When she finished the job I immediately hated it, and after a couple of years I think she also realizes that it's not a good look. I was wondering what would be the best way to strip this paint off without filling the house with noxious fumes. I've started using a razor scraper in a small spot but that gets old real quick. Any advice is appreciated.

I think it was "Rustoleum Countertop Transformations". It's been a few years so not 100% sure though.

I thought this would be an easy fix but I guess not. I may have to buy new countertops instead. Oh well, I'm gonna build new cabinet doors anyway.
The Rustoluem stuff is oil-based and next to impossible to remove. I would suggest painting over it with a color you like, but, that might not work well either. Agressive sanding with an orbital will spew dust everywhere. I'm voting for a new countertop, also!
