If I jack the car up, slide some stands under the log and let the car back down maybe I could get a chain saw in there.

The gas tank actually sits between the frame that the bed is attached. The truck is beyond saving. It is smashed in the same way that a Auto Yard smashes vehicles to place them on a flatbed to be shipped to a company that shreds the vehicle into small bits.Are you trying to save the truck? Or not cause an explosion? Or save parts? Sure seems there's a lot of wood to the right of the 2nd photo that could be cut off. Unless it's just perception.
That seems way too light to me. But it really depends on what that diameter is.That's about 250-300 lbs of wood assuming you cut it to about 10 ft long,
