Im removing a knee wall. It has a beam built out 2 2x4s going to the vaulted ceiling. There is small attic space. One of the 2x4s is connected to side of a ceiling joicst and the other one isnt nailed in to ceiling at all. But there is extra boards up there in the joicsts that look like they are just part of the attic floor..Not sure......Does it sound like the beam is supporting anything?????

use paint or some free software to shrink the image size down to 1024x768 (or something like that).

Nope. Try standing back say about 10 feet and then taking the picture. You aren't trying to take a picture of a Bee or Fly on a flower. You are trying to give people an idea of what you are seeing when looking at what you are trying to explain, what is the problem.

do you have any pictures from the attic?
what was there before? an empty wall?
Were there any other studs that you removed prior to taking these pix?
based on your pictures, it does not look like a load bearing 2x4.
