kosherman, I have an almost identical tub faucet (1925 Speakman) that I need to replace the valves because a previous owner ditched the originals and replaced them with American Standards. The only difference I can see between yours and what I have is that I need stems with a 3/8" square end. My handles and escutcheons are identical other than the broach opening. Is there any chance you could post a picture of the valve when you get it out that shows how big it is? I have had no luck getting this info anywhere else and I am unable to post my own photos on here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks so much! I am trying to figure out a way to get my photos on here, the jpegs are too big and I'm still trying to figure it out, but the valve body of my faucet sticks out from the wall about an inch, so I'm guessing that I would need a stem about an inch shorter, although I suppose it really wouldn't matter as long as everything is well attached. Does your waste handle have a splined broach like your faucet handles? Is the stem all you need inside the the faucet or are there more parts to it?
