So, I'm nearly through tiling my bathroom. However, tonight I noticed that one of my rows is messed up. I am staggering 3 X 6 subways, all white basically with one row of black 3 rows up from the bottom. For some stupid reason, on one wall, I did not stagger the black row, and the effect is three unstaggered rows.
If I can re-do the black row, it will all be cool.

It will have been 24 hours tomorrow -- and I used a healthy amount of thinset.

Is there any way I can remove it without wrecking everything? It is 5 tiles, that's all... no grout yet. thanks! Taran

Your best bet is to gently smack and crack the tiles and remover them in pieces.

The sooner the better---thinset gets harder by the day.

I sent my wife in there this morning to "see where I f***cked up".
She couldn't. I told her to search. Five minutes later she spotted it. If it takes that long, I'm calling it "character".

It's low on the least noticeable wall. I'm not going to smash up my wall and start crying when I rip up the Durock or chip some other tiles.

I figure in 30 years, when some joker is demolishing it to re-tile, he'll say "look, some idiot forgot to stagger this row".

I'll be dead, so, who cares?
