I need to know the best method to remove my brand new maple pennisula in my kitchen without damaging it or my hardwood floors. Any advice would be appreciated.

Once I put my hardware on my cabinet drawers I realized that the spacer next to my dishwasher was not wide enough (only 1-1/2"), therefore, the door will not open. I now have no choice but to move the pennisula back and install a spacer totally 3" in order to get the dishwasher door open.

Thank you. :confused1:

Your best bet is to first pull the base shoe that is probably at the bottom. A peninsula isn't going to move though...It will be attached to the other kitchen cabinets unless you've got a strange kitchen layout. A pic would really help. Also, most of the time the cabinets are in place long before the hardwood floors are finished so there very well may be unfinished flooring under the peninsula.

Is your counter top installed already? If so, this will be a big mess if you need to get a whole new counter. Also do you have pictures?

What is the dishwasher door hitting? The hardware, or the actual doors?
