Hi. Do any of you happen to know whether or not the Study Guide/Lab Manual companion to the Refrig & AC Tech book would be of value to myself as a DIY and not attending a classroom environment? I own the 6'th edition of the main book. In addition, I am curious to know if it provides answers to the troubleshooting questions that are not answered in the main book. Thank you.

If you are referring to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology by Whitman then you will want to get ahold of the instructors manual. That will have the answers to the questions posed in the text as well as the questions you will find in the lab manual and workbook.

That text is currently releasing the 8th edition, so you will have to specify which edition you want the instructors manual for when you go to purchase it.

Published by Delmar, and CENGAGE learning. Have you tried Amazon? ISBN-13:978-1-4283-1938-7

That is an outdated edition, so I don't know if you will find it easily. To be honest the 7th edition will answer all the same questions, they just added a few new chapters to the text, which were welcome additions to edition 6.

Yeah, I searched for the newer editions, too, but with no luck. I'll just have to do without until sometime when I can search more or contact the publisher or something to see if it's available to an individual. Thanks, though.
