If it is under warranty don't remove anything, but if you gently press the casing and try to pull back on it you can listen for a change in the noise. Ice build or the backing not being placed properly (If it's used may have been removed previously) could be your issue. Just make the suggestion to technician to check the evaporator fan blades, because it seems to be rubbing against ice build or the casing. If you have to call into the warranty line just politely ask to speak to the shift supervisor and explain that you had someone come out earlier and they were very nice, but the noise persists and would like to get it taking care of as soon as possible. Mention where you think it is coming from.
When you speak to a shift supervisor with a positive approach, your more likely to have them go out of your way to send a more experienced tech to your warranty call (if one is available for your are) than having them re-send the same tech who originally came out.
