Hi guys,
About to undertake a pretty massive patio for the first time. All I've done before is a simple 4'x20' walkway. Sure I'll have more questions, but for now just one.

The patio is off of a walk-out basement and I am trying to figure out what height I should set the pavers at below the threshold of the walkout door. We have a metal roof with some peaks that come together there, so want to make sure we don't flood the basement (obviously, we're paying close attention to pitch too). We're in NH, so we get snow too, though I'm not concerned about patio use in the winter months. Any thoughts?

Seems like when ever it's greater than 6" the toe of my boot is prone to catch the threshold ........ maybe I'm just old.
It's all in the detail of the wording. He said threshold, I was thinking deck to floor difference. There is still 1 1/2" of frame or threshold to step over.
