I have 3 Halo H5RICAT fixtures. I am installing them in a bonus room with a sloped ceiling. I am comfortable with the install but I am concerned about the clearance. If I install the fixtures there will only be an inch of clearance between the fixtures and the roof framing. Does anyone know if this a concern for this particular fixture?

Make sure your using I/C air tite fixtures.
Make sure to no use any higher wattage bulb then it's rated for.
You can also buy low hat fixtures.

The fixtures are thermally protected with the air-tite system according to the website. So you think with these two things I should be good with the clearance? The website addresses the issue of insulation in that the fixtures can be in direct contact with the insulation but it doesn't address the proximity to the roof framing. Thanks by the way for the help and quick response.

Yeah I can understand that. This won't be a problem. I will close to the ridge board and/or rafter. That is where the inch clearance comes in. I won't be close enough to the sheathing to be worried about nails. Thanks for the help
