Hello All,

I'm running new receptacles in my garage through EMT. When I went to install the first receptacle (GFCI) in the run, I noticed that the hot terminal shorts to the EMT connector inside the box. Looks like this is just a problem with the GFCI as its deeper (I'm using the "slim" GFCIs) than the regular receptacles. Has anyone had this problem or know of a solution? I'm using the large handyboxes, I didnt see anything larger at the store.

Thanks for the reply. That was my first thought, but I thought that wouldnt be a very secure/robust solution...

Will the tape insulate long term? Can it break down and/or wear with repeated pushing and pulling from plugging cords in?
