Picture shows what I'm doing - this will be inspected as it is part of a renovation that includes electric permit.

Goal is light shining from inside window boxes (cornices) onto ceiling, maybe dimly down curtains.

Home structure is concrete block, brick facade. Inside is 3/4" furring strips supporting 1/2" drywall
The space above the window is small vertically so I can't fit an exterior/water tight receptacle box.

The circuit will be on a gfci breaker.

Thoughts/suggestions on doing this better, maybe making the receptacle somewhat waterproof, whether this will pass inspection :) ?

Thanks
Bob

Yeah - thanks for catching that. This box is 13 cu in. I guess I can't even put two side by side, one for receptacle and single 14/2, one for three 14/2.
This sucks. Have to see what I can do here.

WHY waterproof?
WHY a GFI breaker?

It's an almost certainty that this will require AFCI protection.

2014 NEC calls for AFCI on most of the 120v circuits. Kitchen and bath have exceptions, but it doesn't look like you fall under those.
You are modifying a circuit, and need to bring it up to current code, assuming your area is on 2014 NEC.
