All,

Can I re-seal a previously sealed concrete floor (basement) with a solvent based product without stripping the previous solvent based sealer?

Our basement floor was sealed and is still beading water in some spots, but it's been many years since it was last done.

If so, any recommendations for a product?

Might be easier to just rent a sander. Profile the surface, and apply new sealer. I would stay with the water and lesser VOC products. They are really good these days.

Appreciate the reply. I'm looking at something from Dyco Paint called Tuff Coat that has possibilities. They also sell a primer called Tuff Grip that supposedly helps the stain stick to previously coated surfaces.
