We are installing a Range Hood, everything going well, however
having great difficulty in getting the 6" Lamaflex hose connector over the Vent Pipe which is also 6".

Does anyone have a "tip" or suggestion to make this fit ??

Thanks

most of those range hoods come with all the parts you need to make the hook up to your existing vent. Did you look really good for an adapter.

If they are both 6 inches it's probably not going to work. you will need some kind of adapter to make one smaller than the other so it will connect. just a suggestion.

May I suggest installing a couple anti-vibration collars. One close to the vent and the other close to the end of the duct. I coated the duct with mastic to keep the air from leaking, and to help insulate the noise. I insulated the duct with rock wool to keep the noise down. I also added a different air leak flap than came with our hood. Our hood is 6 feet wide, and has two electric motors, so they make some noise when I first installed it. After using the items listed above, they are nice and quiet

Thank You very much for your quick responses, all great tips.
I was able to "stretch" the opening just enough to slip over the vent pipe
and we taped it as well as used a zip tie and pulled it tight with a pliers.
So it is pretty snug. I hope this will work, if not I will follow through with
your additional suggestions.
