I have two questions about my sprinkler system.

1. What does it mean when water spurts up from the adjustment holes in the top of the sprinkler head?

2. I found a broken head that someone must of run over... dug it out and it’s attached to a rubber-ish flexible line with one end that has a gray plug into the line and the other twists into the sprinkler head... where do I get a new thingy to attach a new head to the hose.

You do a google search for "irrigation supplies name-of-my-town"

Irrigation tubing (they call it funny pipe ) is normally a different size than hose you find at the hardware store, so if you want the fitting to actually fit, make sure they are irrigation fittings. Is that tube blue, or is that an optical illusion ?

Seems that commonly, the main line is 3/4" or 1" ID, and then they will reduce to a couple of feet of 1/2" or 5/8" tube just before the sprinkler head. The smaller tube is still rather stiff, but flexible enough that you can adjust the position of the head a little.
