We just had landscaping done and moderate rain pools in one spot. It drains slowly. We are concerned about a very heavy rain. How do I improve this without messing up the work that was done?

but hes right... you have a low spot that needs drainage.

Ask the contractor, there's a chance it was by design - my next door neighbor has the low spot in the neighborhood and is at the bottom of a big hill. He has a low spot in the corner of his lot where water collects to keep it from running toward his house. Not saying that's what you have but it's one possibility.

@sweaty, for starters talk to your contractor or whoever else that did that.

I'm from Ohio, and we got enough rain to form pools of water sometimes, and that could sometimes be a problem.

Let us know what you find out.
