I am looking into getting some lighting for my garage, and i came upon a really good deal on some HPS lights that run on 277V. I am not an electrician, i do plan on hiring one to install the lights, but before i do that i need to know if wiring these to my standard 120V residential electric supply. I have done some research, most people say replace the ballasts to 120V, but that would make this pointless as those cost much more money than i can invest. My question is, is there anyway to make these work without having the electric company come and modifying the supply? I have attached a picture of the ballast with all the info. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

You cannot connect luminaires to anything other than 120V, [edit] or less [/edit] in a residential setting.
