I will go even a little more extreme. I bought this recently for my lawn tractor.
Ironton Tow-Behind Broadcast and Spot Sprayer — 13-Gallon Capacity, 1 GPM, 12 Volt DC

It works well but it was on sale for $130, thats a decent price for it. At its normal price though, I would suggest going to the 15 gallon sprayer with a 2.2GPM pump on it instead. Mine can be a little slow at 1 GPM but hey, I get to spend more time on my lawn tractor!

After years of cheap hand held sprayers that eventually clogged or otherwise failed to function i bought a 4 gallon Chapin backpack sprayer. Available everywhere.

Be aware the 4 gallon model is a bit heavy to get hoisted on your shoulders. If weight is an issue just get a smaller one.

Not cheap but money well, very well spent.

Good options here. I bought a 1 gallon $15 sprayer that I'll make sure to clean out after every use and store properly (per instructions). If it doesn't last that way then on to the suggestions from r0ckstarr or the other battery-powered sprayers. Thank you

I always end up having trouble with the wand. Always seem to develop a leak around the trigger mechanism which is plastic. Nice to see some worthy recommendations for something better.

I bought a small round-up one from Lowe's and haven't had any problems with it. I also bought a larger, Chapin backpack-sprayer for the entire yard that works great

I've sent many many gallons through my Round-up brand sprayer too. For the first couple years, when using it only for organic fertilizer. I didn't even bother flushing it out.

I've sprayed sodium hydroxide deck cleaner, oxalic acid, organic fertilizer. 4 years and not a single problem.
