When investigating a leak, I noticed that my roof vents are just white PVC stubbed up though the roof.

Is this considered OK? I thought white plumbing PVC brittled in UV light

Some PVC gets brittle and yellows in sunlight and in cold. I have read here that plumbing PVC is more UV resistant than the stuff I use for vac lines. Check the stamping on the pipe, then google it or post it here.

Its fine ...find something else to worry about.

The vent piping is the same pipe throughout your house. It has been approved for vent/exposed usage.
