I have a small project involving pvc pipe. For economy purpose, can a tube cutter [copper tubing] be used instead of a pvc cutter [snip]?

You can cut PVC pipe very nicely on a chop saw, or a table saw, or with a handsaw if you have a steady eye.

Yes, it 'will' work. But it will be slower than the methods Daniel posted.
