I believe my fence installer screwed up. He came the other day to install a small 17 foot section of PVC fence and gate for the entry to my yard. He’s due back on Friday to complete the job.
He installed everything but the gate. It appears that he installed the posts too low and the gate doesn't have enough clearance from the ground. The gate is not installed yet but if position it in the opening I just cannot see how he can install it without some major modifications. It also appears he started chipping away at the cement around the existing posts to create more clearance.
Question: Can the gate be cut either from the top or bottom of the post to create more clearance?
