Hello again,

A couple days ago I posted this thread, over here. I was set straight on how to purge the air from my pipes after I did some work on the system.

However, after using the manual fill lever on my auto-fill valve and letting the system drain and push the air out of the system my pressure relief valve has started to leak. Unfortunately its a pretty steady drip coming from the pipe.

The pressure shown on the front of the boiler is the same as it was after I purged the system. I made sure the manual fill lever was put back in the off position. I've even tried bleeding off just a small amount of water from the purge valves trying to see if that would help, but the auto-fill keeps kicking in to maintain pressure.

Could the relief valve have failed just from the purge process? Am I over-pressure for the system? Any help you can give is appreciated!

probably had dirt in it. And while you were purging the pressure got to high. And when it opened, the dirt scared the seat.

Needs to be replaced.

About a 15 minute job. including prep time.
