I just received my Disney Circle ($99).

Wow....now my kids hate me.....and the wife will too real soon....

It's basically an internet access control device. Easy to hook up....easy to configure....

I control it with my iPhone...wife has the Android...so she can't access it.

I can control how much internet time the kids have and what time it shuts them down.

They were not happy with me last night....I gave them one hour and set 9pm as the 'bedtime'. Of course they ate up that one hour a lot sooner....and the *****ing started....until I said "One more word and it will be 0 hours tomorrow" They went to bed.

I can also see what they are viewing and for how long.

I expect a phone call any minute from my wife when she hits her 2 hr limit.

They all want more time? They will have to earn it. My wife will be able to 'earn' extra time

Not telling you how to run your family but my Dad was a control freak. He also wrecked his marriage and got the boot. He also has "strained" relations with his kids.

The kids may not think it is so "funny" and later it may bite you in the butt.

Nothing wrong with checking what they are viewing but "control" can be subtle and people hate it.

I can understand putting limits on your kids...that is a parents job. :vs_cool:

Nothing wrong with that at all. For every 2 hours you play outside, one hour internet time. One hour chores, one hour internet time.

Once your kids get a little older they will be the Kings of technology and find ways to circumvent the system! It probably won't take them long and it probably won't be that difficult.
