Can anyone recommend a clear/invisible product that I can coat on my new exterior outdoor lights. I live on a saltwater canal in the back and these lights are at the front of the house. They are "stainless steel", but when I received them they were made in china, so they are definitely not marine grade.

I'm looking for the best solution to paint on them to prevent them from corrosion and rust. Let me know!

I heard boeshield T-9 suggestions, but heard it wasnt great for rust prevention. Also saw a product name protectaclear. Also rustoleum stops rust clear enamel spray. Not sure what is best or any other suggestions?

Automotive clear coat should work.

Make sure the surfaces are good and clean.

When applied with a little heat, it's also an excellent coating for outdoor wood.

For an environment such as what you described, a product similar to what I've posted below might work.

Salt water = corrosion. You can try any of things others suggest. Just be aware that what ever you do will slow the corrosion process down but not eliminate it.

Understood, those other products dont seem to be any better/meant for the application than the ones i mentioned. I was hoping someone had direct experience with this.
