I'm wanting to add a mini split ac unit for my garage. The first part will be running a new 220v circuit to the compressor.

My electrical panel is outside of my home, and the compressor will be on the opposite side of the home.

Can I run the circuit from the panel through conduit up into the soffit, then through the attic, then back out of the soffit? Or does it need to stay outside of the house along the wall?

I could also run it underground but I would need to find my utility easements.

I live In Houston TX.

It can go through the attic.
The wire used on the exterior of the house must be wet rated, even in conduit.

Does it need to stay in conduit throughout the attic? Or can I run conduit until it enters the attic, then conduit again when it exits the attic back to the exterior?

If you are using a cable it does not need to be in conduit. If you are using individual conductors then it needs to be in conduit.
