I am trying to wall mount a TV. In order to run wires inside my dry wall, I bought this product http://www.legrand.us/wiremold/at-h...d-covers/cmk70-tv-power-kit.aspx#.UMrYYm8vaSo. Unfortunately I didn't foresee two problems:
1. My dry wall has insulation inside. Would it be safe to run a electrical cable inside dry wall which contains insulation. Can a spark burn the insulation?
2. If you look at this video demonstrating how to use the product http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ly4yIW1gfts#! the upper mount of the assembly has a depressed single plug point into which the TV plug is supposed to go. Unfortunately I ordered a roku which I want to mount behind the TV and that means I need two plug points instead of one. Are there any socket extensions that would fit in the depressed mould provide more than one outlet?

They make other brands that have 2 receptacles.
Romex is made to run inside the walls and to touch insulation.

Sparks do not happen in the middle of a continuous undamaged run of wire or cable.

It is important that any joints or splices be inside junction boxes with accessible covers for for a variety of reasons including the possibility of a spark occurring if a connection should become loose.

Now I question the unreliability and spark hazard of knob and tube wiring with soldered joints where the conductors are spaced and have enough tension to not actually pass within an inch of each other.

I just cut ut the sheetrock so I have complete access to mount the outlet, and cut out a recessed area in the studs to mount a 2 X 6 or 8 so the lags to hold up the TV mount have a solid place to screw into.
