I've taken on the challenge of painting my knotty pine room. Its been sanded and I've used wood filler on the knots to fill in all the cracks. The reading i've done about this says to use 2-3 coats of oil based primer to prevent and stains showing up. I've done 1 coat using Kilz oil based. I was wondering if i did my next and last coat with latex primer if that would work also? As of know I see no knots through the primer. I am having a hard time using such a stinky product. I've always used no or low voc paints.
