We are getting the whole house retextured to orange peel. As advised by this forum, I am going to clean the walls first with TSP since they are quite smokey from the previous owners.

Once retextured, should I prime the drywall with a separate drywall primer? Any brand recommendations? After that, I'm assuming I need 1 coat of regular primer? Again, any brand recommendations?

For paint, it seems like BM is a safe way to go, so I am going with probably their Regal line. Does this affect which primer I should use? Should I get the primer tinted? We are sticking to light colors (off-white and light green).

Thanks!
