I sprayed painted my basement ceiling with my airless sprayer and the paint didn’t stick to my pex pipe. In my last house I had this issue with a galvanized gas pipe and just use some self etching primer and that worked great. Since this is a water pipe I am unsure if that’s safe to do. Any other alternatives for me to try?

Maybe paint for plastic but not sure if solvent based paint is ok for PEX.
I would get some convoluted tubing, the stuff that is made for car wiring harnesses.

I have used Krylon Fusion spray on PEX run outdoors to protect against UV. Works fine and has held up for years.
