When priming a previously painted wall, do you guys hit every square inch, including the corners or is it more casual and you just hit the areas the roller can reach? Plan on priming the wall but not the ceiling. Just wondering if I need to cut in where the wall meets the ceiling and do my best to not get any primer on the ceiling.

Semi-gloss on dining room walls? That is really odd. Sometimes I see a bathroom or kid's bedroom in semi-gloss. A little scuff sanding works fine for me. But maybe it depends on the exact process or whatever. Primer is cheap insurance.
