Forgive these incessant questions; I try to get most answers on my own before coming here but is there no way that I can simply go to the IAQ stat and view discharge, return, and Delta T while the system continues to run? That I know, I can only view such data by navigating to Installer Options, yet when I do so the system shuts down. Thank you.

When you say "shuts down", can you explain more specifically what happens? Does the whole system status literally got to "Off", or something else?

Simply accessing the Installer Options menu should have no effect at all on the status of your system (as far as I know, but perhaps there's a setting I'm not aware of that could potentially trigger that).

I've always been able to access various history options to keep an eye on my Delta-T performance from that Installer Options menu, and doing so has never affected my system's overall status.

Note: I'm not an HVAC pro; I just did my own Prestige self-install a couple years ago, so I'm definitely not an expert.

Bob Sanders and others here are better Prestige gurus than I am - hopefully, they will have some ideas for you soon!

Hi Chris - I should have been more precise; I have a heat pump with electric strips. If my HP is running when I navigate to Installer Options, immediately after I input the password the HP and blower shut off. Thanks for your feedback.

No. There is no way to use the delta t system while in normal operating mode.
The Delta T system is design simply to alert you when there is an issue. It is not meant to be used as a system of display in real time.

DeltaT does show up on the system logs though

Once the installer code is punched in and accepted, the stat goes into maintenance mode (temporarily shuts the system down) to await installer instructions and/or adjustments.

Interesting! I guess I simply never noticed that, or I perhaps just happened to access that menu when the system wasn't actively running. I admit I don't access those menus often.

Apologies to the OP for my bum steer, and thank you Bob for the clarification!

Cheers, Chris

Just check the log once a week, or once a month.

If the stat displayed temp delta while the system is running. Lots f people would call in needlessly that their system isn't working right. Part of the reason that auto manufacturers went to idiot lights for oil pressure 50 years ago. People would complain that the oil pressure was too high or too low. And it was just normal operation for teh car/engine at that oil temp or engine use.
