I'm getting ready to paint my house. The fascia is a little rough (not a good grade of lumber to begin with), and I'm planning to sand it. What wood filler would be good to fill cracks, nail holes, etc. before sanding?

I see that Minwax has a two part product they claim is great, but would be kinda pricey for as much as I need.

I use this all the time.When done with it, be sure to seal it up TITE in a plastic bag or something, as it drys out pretty fast with the original lid in place.

Use woodfiller on holes. Use caulk on cracks as cracks move around and need something flexable in them.
