I installed Prefinished panelling in a customers split entry home and now it is warping like crazy. The panelling was installed in the rec room on the bottom half of the wall only 32" high. The home owner did not want any adhesive used due to sensitve allergies, so the panels were nailed in the grooves only. The job was done in December and now in July the panels are are warping. There is drywall behind the panels. Would high humidity cause this and what would be cure. They have an air exchanger going continuously and a dehumidifier running in the rec room as well. They have problems with their laminate floor separating during the changing seasons as well.

Please Help, Spatz

Moisture is most likely the culprit. If he didn't want it glued, then you should have told him this may happen. Surely there's some "green" glue on the market
