Would like some feedback on how I wired this. I bringing a separate circuit to my lighting and will daisy chain the power to each switch. So I pig tailed the hot from the power in to the hot to the power out, connected to bottom screw then have my switch leg to top screw. This is only temporary switch to get light in room. This I assume would take place at each switch box? Thanks you very much.

Cut the sheathing of the 12-2 cables to just where they enter the box by 1/4". That will give you more room to move wires around.

You should not be pushing the retention tabs out of the box. They hold the cables in the box. Push the cables into the box past the tabs.

I didn't even see that. Yes, you need the tabs to hold the romex in place.
