Recessed lights include a junction box on them.

99% of the recessed can do have junction box to hook up your cable or conduit.

The only kind I will try to advoid is the cheap knock off recessed can which they have a junction box top of the recessed cans (that is pretty much the worst design I have see due the heat will useally destory them pretty fast )
