Hi-
Is there a solid way of fixing stripped out wood screw holes? I have a cabinet door and a wood shelf and they each have a loose wood screw. I was going to put a bunch of wood glue in there but I'm guessing that won't help much.

Any tips would be appreciated.

thx

Wooden match or a few tooth picks with that glue.

Anyone tried epoxy putty or polyester/epoxy resin to fill in and reuse screw holes? They cure pretty hard so you’d need to drill a pilot hole for the screw.

If the object supported by the screw and screw hole tends to get moved a lot (e.g., sliding shelf), then putting in a threaded metal insert for the screw would be good.
