I have four outdoor light fixtures that turn off and on with a single switch in the house and another single switch in the garage. The lights are not coming on - I've checked for tripped breakers and made sure that the switches are not stuck in the middle of being on or off. Would replacing the two switches be the next logical troubleshooting step?

"Things" as in the switches?
Wires are often pushed in the back and you might get a better contact if you put them around the screws. Just don't mix up the wires.
Then pull the lights and make sure everything is tight and connected there.:vs_cool:

You must see a electrician near you. They will probably work well and provide you with the best results to get your problem solved by checking if changing the switch will work or you need to do something else to make it work again.
