Anybody out there know where I can get Engineered plans for a pole barn. I need this as the local inspector knows nothing about pole barns and won't let me build one in town without them. Of course I could go to an architect but the idea is to save money.

There are books available for building pole barns. Do a search for 'pole barns', something should pop up. But most building departments need detailed drawings for building anything, nothing new about that. They want to make sure the engineering is correct and it won't fall down.
