Does a new roof load bearing beam need to be point loaded to the foundation

The back of my roof was ripped off and a full shed dormer was installed. We then made full 29 for triple 2 by 8 header supported by 6 columns evenly spaced. The roof pitch is now 1/12 on the dormer. The columns sit on the 2 by 6 floor joist about 1 foot back from the bearing wall. Do all of these columns need to go thru the first floor and the basement to the foundatio? Or are they still bearing although not directly on the bearing wall?

This should all be on your plans. Do you have plans and a permit?
